If you fire pit requires a heat detector than the material is too thin. Our pits are thick gauge steel and radiate a ton of nice heat. You won't need a heat deflector.

I have a SoloStove and it requires a heat deflector to properly push heat to the surrounding area. Does your fire pit have/require a heat deflector?
