does it have a hole in the bottom for rain water to drain out?

It rains a fair bit where I live and I don't want it to just fill up with water.

Yes, they all have a 1/2” drain hole, but you really don’t want water in the bowl. Make sure you get a Snuffer lid to put the fire out and keep the water out as well. Wet ash turns into lye and lye is a corrosive chemical that reacts with metal. It can cause problems. Lye is what eats through most thin Consumer grade fire pits. That’s why the bottoms are always gone.
