Yes in the description of the pit you'll see that they all have a 1/2" drain hole, but you'll also see the note that we highly recomend the snuffer lids. The snuffer lids are designed to put the fire out and keep all the water off your ash. Wet ash turns into lye and lye is a chemical that reacts with metal.
